This text reflects the idea of delving deeply into the city, using the concept of "X-ray" as a metaphor to show Paris beyond the surface, consistent with the English title you have chosen. It also invites visitors to explore each neighborhood as a unique layer of this multifaceted city.
X-ray of Paris is a photographic X-ray of the city, unfolding neighborhood by neighborhood to reveal the hidden layers of its essence and everyday life. Through a close yet restrained gaze, each image composes a coherent visual narrative that moves beyond the conventional postcard, attending instead to gestures, light, and spaces that trace the true skin of Paris. Conceived as an ongoing author project, this series explores the city’s contrasts, rhythms, and atmospheres, inviting visitors to walk each neighborhood as a singular layer within a complex, multifaceted organism.
Since I moved to Paris in 2013, I have been walking through its neighborhoods with my camera as if it were a notebook. These images, taken over more than a decade, make up my X-ray of Paris: a slow and personal exploration of the city where I live, where each photograph is the trace of an encounter, a change of light, or an emotion that only appears with time.
